I am 31 weeks pregnant and have noticed a little pain during the day on that side when I walk, but nothing horrible. The last two nights I wake up in pain from sleeping on my right side. It hurts so much to even turn to the other side. What could that possibly be? Thanks!
For the past 2 nights whenever I sleep on my left side it feels like the baby is squishing my ovary. Normal?
I think this is round ligament pain. I've had the same kind of thing lately. (I'm 27 weeks) Check with the doctor to be sure. Congrats on your baby!!!
Reply:Check with your doctor to be certain. But the closer you get to delivery, the more uncomfortable you will find yourself, especially trying to find a comfortable position to sleep. I used one of those body pillows, helped a little. However, you might feel discomfort, you should not be feeling real pain.
Reply:make sure you mention this at your next appointment. it helped me to put a pillow under the baby when I was laying on my side, and one between my knees. sleeping isn't going to be the most comfortable thing for you for a while. sorry!
Reply:Well, once you get to 30 weeks, sleeping on your left side is recommended, however it hurts more than your right side. I found that I could barely breath if I laid on my right side, but my lft side wasn't any more comfortable. Your baby may just be pressing on your ovaries. My husband used to tell my baby to 'beat the egg' and she would kick my ovaries. I always had a hard time rolling over when I was pregnant. I would feel light headed even trying. Hang in there, you are almost through, then all you have to worry about is finding time to sleep.
