I have lived with that exact pain every month for the last 20 years. I too have PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome), the only relief I can get is with pain pills to knock me out.

Ovarian cysts are not the only sympton of PCOS, also, you might have irregular menstral cycles, and difficulty getting pregnant.

The only way to be sure of the cause of pain, is to seek medical advice from a trained professional, I would schedule an appoint with an OBGYN first. Don't waste your time with an ER, they just medicate and send you home.
Reply:it sounds like you may have an ovarian cyst, which is just an egg that has been released but hangs out on your ovary and grows instead of traveling down your fallopian tube into your uterus and being expelled during your period. make an appointment with your dr. to check on getting a CT or an Ultrasound to find out for sure. they do hurt, but they're excruciating if they progress and then rupture.
Reply:get it checked by a doctor. it is impossible for Yahoo to help you otherwise.
Reply:im not positive but u might want to get ur apendix checked u dont want that to burst
Reply:I've had that before, and for me it was a cyst on my ovary. Don't be TOO worried though, most cysts there are benign and are not much to worry about. I know I get them somtimes, only one time was bad. The cyst actually RUPTURED, but don't worry, it's pretty rare for that to happen. And I have PCOS (Polycystic ovarian syndrome) so I am more prone to those stupid cysts! =(

I hope you feel better!
