Can a cyst on your ovary affect your bowels?

I have a pretty big cyst on my right ovary (about 2 inches around) and I think its affecting my bowels... does anyone with medical knowledge know if this is possible? Should I fight to have it sergically "zapped"? or should it go away on it's own and I just need to suck it up for now? Thanks for any help you can offer!!

Can a cyst on your ovary affect your bowels?
That's exactly what I wondering too. I took a trip to the doctor and he said that I was VERY constipated..and when I thought about it I realized I haven't passed a bowel since last week...SOO he can't tell if I have a cyst or not because of that. He was trying to tell me something bout the cyst but I was too busy being nervous because um he was .. in me... anyway He told me to buy some Fleet something Enema.. I don't know how to use the damn thing though. I hope this helps.
Reply:Hi I had cyst and Endometriosis for years before I began to have serious pain. Make sure you ask for an Ultrasound every six months until you get this cyst resoled. Sometimes they go away, sometimes they need hormone shrinkage, sometimes they rupture, but just know they can grow very fast.

Now as for the bowels, Endometriosis can affect that. Please go see your GYN regularly. I just had a Hysterectomy in April. Looking froward to no more pain.
Reply:I can see a cyst thats 2 inches effecting your bowels. It probably causes severe pain I would imagine. If I were you, I wouldn't want any kind of cyst, big or small on my ovary, so I would get it removed. but its up to you, and whether you can live with it there. Check with you doctor for the best solution.
