I had an ovarian cyst on one of my ovaries but it was surgically removed. I have been scared ever since because I thought I would have problems becoming pregnant. Will I?
Can I get pregnant with just one ovary?
Yes you can. It may be a little harder but it can happen.
Reply:It just means it may take a little longer but you can still get Pregnant. I really wish you all the best
Reply:You might have to work harder at getting pregnant. Don't worry you can :) ask your doc if there is anything that can help the process :) best of luck
Reply:yes you can
Reply:Possibly. Generally, your ovaries alternate each month with ovulation, so your chances of getting pregnant are decreased because of this. However, you should still be able to conceive. You may want to start keeping a journal to help you become more in tune with your body so you know which months you will ovulate on the side you have your ovary. Many women get ovulation pains, but not all. It might help to start charting your daily basal body temperatures to know which months you are ovulating. You can learn how to chart your bbt and chart for free at fertilityfriend.com. Good luck!
Reply:You can still become pregnant; as long as that one ovary is producing eggs, you have a chance!
Reply:As long as you have one ovary you should be able to get pregnant.
Reply:With having only one ovary I would buy a fertility monitor so you can know when you do ovulate. I would also talk w/ a doctor like some of the others have told you and is always a good thing to do before trying to concieve.
Reply:well, you have one functioning ovary and you still should have a good chance at pregnancy...all other things being okay...perhaps a bit more difficult as that ovary may not release an egg every month...but then again, if it's the only one functioning, it might...good luck
Reply:Yes, you can still get pregnant with only one ovary. It just might take a while longer than expected.
Reply:no problems. one ovary is just fine to have a kid. all the best.
Reply:yes, you can get pg with only one ovary.
Reply:You should ask your doctor.
Reply:Yes but it is best to talk with your OB/GYN in case you start to have trouble getting pregnant
Reply:Yes you can and don't get discouraged. My mother had only 1/2 of an ovary total and the doctors told her she would never get pregnant. Well, she had a total of 6 pregnacies and carried 3 to term( me and my two sisters were all healthy babies). So, good luck to you!!!
Reply:Not necessarily have a problem - my mom had an tube pregnancy that destroyed one of her tubes and a cyst on the other ovary that they removed part of her ovary - and she had two kids.
