I had a real bad pain in my right ovary, can anyone tell me why this happen?

I could not even walk with the pain, it was real bad! It could of have been because I was going to have my period but, its been 3 days already and I still don't have my period, so I can't think of anything else that could of have been the reason for the pain. If anyone knows any reason why please let me know.

It can be ovulation... sometimes people get pain when they ovulate.

It could be a cyst around your ovary. if it is, it would be extremely painful if you ovulated and there is a cyst there. The cyst could have also burst, and that would be VERY painful.

It could also be your appendix. Women can get mixed up because your appendix is on the right side as well. You could have appendixitis (when your appendix gets enlarged).

In any case you should see your doctor bc you may need an ultrasound of the area to check for a cyst or your appendix.
Reply:I tend to get pains like this alot, sometimes month round. Does the pain get really bad then taper off for a few seconds then get bad again and so on and so forth? These are just cramps, some women get them worse than others. If pain killers, like advil or tylenol dont work, then see your doctor.
Reply:You could have a cyst. Have it checked out.
Reply:Well it might be an ovarian cyst. You should go to your doctor and they will probably want to remove it.

or it could be your appendix...and then you definitely have to get that removed...
Reply:it might be thet it's not the gynecoligical nature of the pain. maybe u have sand in ur kidneys so it causes harder passing of urine. hope u get better.
Reply:sometimes we get pains just before are periods it's quite normal but if you can't walk then i say you should see your gp as you could have an infection, are you sure your not pregnant? you could have a small cyst which can only be diagnosed via your gp seek help if you have anymore pain.
