What is the distinction between a superior and inferior ovary?

Also, if possible, the difference between the hypogynous, perigynous, and epigynous flowers?

Thanks

What is the distinction between a superior and inferior ovary?
A superior ovary is an ovary attached to the receptacle above the attachment of other floral parts.

An inferior ovary lies below the attachment of other floral parts.

The other floral parts are the petals and sepals.

Hypogynous flowers have superior ovaries.

Inferior ovary flowers are termed epigynous.

Flowers that are intermediate are termed perigynous or half-epigynous.
