At age 23 i havd a tubal pregnancy and had one ovary removed. I am now 37 and i want to have another child but i am worried about menopause.
I have 1 ovary and i would like to know how that will effect menopause?
I also have 1 ovary and have been told it won't affect menopause at all. I had 2 kids after I had my ovary removed but I was under 30 when I did so.
You should see your OB/GYN to see when and how often you are releasing eggs. You one ovary may be compensating and releasing an egg every month or you could just ovulate every other month.
During menopause both ovaries stop producing hormones and eggs so having one shouldn't affect anything.
Reply:i don't know but would like to as i only have one myself
Reply:Why worry about it now. You have a while yet. There is help to get you through this when the time comes. The sweats are the worse. Every one is different, some women have no problems at all. So relax. Why worry about something you have no control over now.
