Hello anyone out there going in for a cyst on ovary removal?

i saffured a miscarriage over the weekend, and they did a routine scan and found a cyst on the ovary. it was stated it was a dermoid one with teeth hair etc uggggh. Anyway since cancer runs in the family i am worked up to a state convincing myself i have the worst. Anyone out there in the same boat. Thanks.

I had a cyst that was aspirated when I had a tubal ligation. I guess it wasn't the same as yours.But, don't worry and best wishes.
Reply:I had a routine scan at 20 weeks and was found to have a cyst on my ovary. I was rushed into hospital to have the ovary and cyst removed. It was successful and I had a baby girl and have since gone on to have another child. At the time it was very worrying but if I didn't have the cyst removed I would have lost my baby. Go and have the surgery and I am sure like me you will make a full recovery, just remember to take it easy for a while afterwards. Good luck.
Reply:Hi there, i had a dermoid cyst removed 10 years ago and unfortunately lost the ovary too as the cyst grew so large it also got very painfull as it twisted on its stem. I would get it removed asap and please don't worry its very common. It shouldn't effect your fertility either as i went onto to have my daughter whose now seven. Reply:I am nothing but 16 but I had a cyst on my ovary..not sexually active but the doctor told me and my mom that It comes from an egg before every menstrual cycle and they are supposed to dissolve if pregnancy dosent occur and if it doesnt happen then it can turn into a painful cyst but my cyst ruptured and at caused a bladder infection and they gave me antibiotics and cleared all of it up...it might not help you but when i saw the words"OVARIAN CYST" i felt the need to reply..sry if it doesnt help you...
Reply:i am 31 years old with two kid the youngest four i got diagnosed with having a dermoid cyst on my right ovary on april 2nd went to my obgyn on april 11,th she did ultrasound she said it needs to be removed because i am in a lot of pain it will be removed april 23 so wish me luck
