Has anyone had a complex cyst on their ovary?

My daughter is 17 and has a complex cyst on her ovary. I haven't found much info on them. Any information is appreciated.

Has anyone had a complex cyst on their ovary?
My mom has always had issues with cysts on her ovaries. Last year she had a hysterectomy and oopherectomy to remove her ovaries because she had a cyst the size of a mandarin??? on her ovary. Talk to your doctor about Polycystic Ovarian syndrome. That's what might be wrong! Hope this helps!
Reply:I'm not sure what exactly a complex cyst is. My only experience with ovarian cysts led to emergency surgery in July '05. I went to the emergency room with extreme pain and found out that it was a cyst with a 13 cm diameter that was the problem. It had twisted both the ovary and the fallopian tube. I ended up losing that ovary.

It might not be the same thing, so make sure she follows any and all directions from her OB/GYN.
Reply:my first cyst was in side the ovary, thin in the next 13 years I had 6 more. None of them were cancer all had to be remove. After I had the first one I had a child at 22. and when it was all over they did a complete hysterectomy. Good luck. Some cyst do dissolve when you have a monthly cycle. I hope all goes well for her.
