Does anyone know if there is a test you can do that tells you if a certain ovary is working?

I had a tubal pregnancy last January. Have been ttc since. I had a HSG done and found out that my right tube was destroyed with the surgery so now I can only get prego from the left ovary, but I'm not even sure it's working!

Does anyone know if there is a test you can do that tells you if a certain ovary is working?
No, no "home test" will tell you. You ovulate alternate sides through-out your fertile life; there is a dominant side which will ovulate but you never know which one it is unless you are in-tune with your body or through an ultrasound.

I lost my right tube to an ectopic, and it apparently is my dominant ovary, but I did ovulate the last three cycles on my left (no trouble feeling it). So... it can change anytime.

All the best.

Reply:no i think you may need to visit your doctor for that...good luck
Reply:Could you go back to the doctor who told you that your right tube was destroyed, and see if they looked at the left at the time? If that's not an option, you should go back to the doctor and get them to take a look at the left tube. You may want to consider a new doctor, since the one you saw doesn't sound like he/she is very good at giving their patients all of the info that they should have.
