I was recently pregnant, But I lost it when I was 8 weeks. I had two cysts one on each ovary. But my Doctor said she feels it wasnt cause by the cysts. Could this be a wrong diagnosis???? I really want another baby, but im afraid to try with me still having the one cyst there.
Is it a bad idea to get pregnant with a cyst on your ovary?
No I do not think It would Be Bad.Especially Since The Doctor also said He dose not think It cause It to Happen.I say start trying when you are ready to start trying again cyst or no cyst.
Reply:wow i was in the same position last year. I fell pregnant last year in april and at my first scan they found a dermoid cyst i was told this was nothing to worry about but lost the baby at 10.5 weeks and was told this wasnt due to my cyst. I am now 21 weeks pregnant still with that same cyst that now measure over 6cm, i have been under specialist care and the cyst has shown no sign of being of any trouble to me or the baby, its up out of the way from my cervix and my baby, they said they would remove it once bub was born. So id say if you want to start trying again go for it...but let your doc know if he doesnt already and then might just keep and eye on you. My specialist also told me that she had a lady with for cysts on one ovary and has had 4 babies with it....If your cyst isnt causing you any pain or any harm id say go for it! Your miscarriage wouldnt of been due to you having a cyst.
If your cyst is a dermoid cyst its not cancerous its just hair and teeth cells........its sounds yuck but they arnt dangerous
Reply:hi, no i don't think its bad to fall pregnant with cysts on your ovaries. i have alot on both of mine and I've just recently had a baby boy. i miscarried 2 yrs ago when i was 8 weeks along and having cysts on your ovaries isn't the cause for the miscarriage. a miscarriage can be from a number of things and most times, its just your body and mother nature telling you, your not ready for a baby yet. that's how i look at it. also i can understand how afraid you are in case you loose your baby again, but Hun it does get better and you will carry through,i did. good luck and don't give up hope just yet.
Reply:I would say the only problem there really is that even if you get pregnant again you will still have a chance that you can have another miscarriage. If that's not the case, there's a possibility that you could also possibly die in labor. Is there a way you can get them removed?
Reply:i doubt the cyst made you lose the baby but i am no doctor. i know people who had children with out complactions and they had cycst. i am wishing u good luck. take care
Reply:A corpus luteum cyst on the ovary is normal in every pregnancy- in a few, they become painful, and can twist or rupture. Otherwise they are necessary to keep the pregnancy going. I don't know as much about other kinds of cysts, but if you're worried you should ask your doctor whether it might need to be removed. As far as I'm aware, though, cysts shouldn't affect the pregnancy at all unless they rupture and require surgery.
Reply:first sorry about the miscarriage
having cysts on the ovary wont affect the pregnancy, however can prevent pregnancy because of the scar tissue. when your pregnancy your ovaries are not active, so cysts on the ovary wont affact the pregnancy.
good luck for the future
Reply:My first pregnancy which ended at 11 weeks actually caused a big cysts on both my ovaries that stayed there even into my pregnancy now. (I believe they have gone down in size tho)I'm now 24 weeks no probs and the doctor said they will go away awhile after the pregnancy if not then thats a whole different thing. But in a nutshell unless of another reason you should still be able to get preggy again :) Good luck.
