Only having one ovary will lessen the amount of eggs produced and you will only be ovulating every other month. So yes-it will make it harder, but not impossible. When the time comes, your doctor will have plenty of options to help out the process such as medications and other treatments. Good luck to ya.
Will having an ovarian cyst and ovary removed make it more difficult to become pregnant?
Your chances of getting pregnant with one ovary are 1/2 as your chances with both. Usually you ovulate from each side, every other month. Now it will just be the one side. It's not much to worry about. You only need one fallopian tube and one ovary. It just might take a little longer. Good luck to you.
Reply:It will for sure, it might not make it impossible, but it can be common to only ovulate from one ovary...that's something to keep in mind.
Is it nessisary to remove the cyst and ovary? Or is it something you can hold off on.
If it's too big or wrapped around your follopian tube, that's understandable that it needs to be removed.
But quite often pregnancy will help dimish or totally cause the cyst to disappear.
Reply:It may make it more difficult, but not impossible. Many women conceive who only have one ovary. Good luck!
