Is there any relation between the right ovary and the appendix?

I'm suffering of menstrual pain every month

and it's severety is higher on the lower right side.. and the pain is radiating to my back and my thigh

i did an ultrasound and there was nothing wrong with my right ovary..

so.. is there any relation between the ovary and appendix.. and.. is there a chronic type of appenditis???

Is there any relation between the right ovary and the appendix?
No relationship between ovary and appendix. There IS a type of chronic appendix inflammation, but they usually just take the appendix out. I once had pain on my right side, and they thought it was my appendix, but during exploratory surgery, found it was a big cyst on my right ovary. I would encourage you to get another ultrasound, perhaps at a different time of the month in your cycle.
Reply:no, they are not related in any means.
Reply:Appedicitis isn't chronic, at least in the sense of it occurring several months at a time.

And, to the best of my knowledge, there is absolutely no connection between the ovary and the appendix. If you had an ultrasound of your ovary and everything was ok, then I'm hoping the doctor took into consideration any other problems that could be manifesting themselves that way. If he didn't think there was a problem with your appendix then I wouldn't worry about THAT.

My suggestion is to go back to a doctor. Tell them exactly what you said here. Hope you find an answer that helps! : )
Reply:Only that they are anatomically close together.
Reply:No and no.
Reply:No, there is not. But, if you are worried you might want to go to the doctor or you could go to: www.healthline.com and use the symptom checker. Just enter your symptoms in don't forgot any pain you might be having.

It will list possible things that could be wrong.

Don't forget to talk to your doc though!

goodluck
Reply:talk to ur OBGYN and family dr. it may be ur ovary but they didnt do a full one. u see is have ploycytic ovarian sydrome. i have to have 2 kinds, vaginal is the best, it shows more detail, have one done, also it could be ur appendix, that is why u must insist to have them checked...before it burst or worse. most places now use vaginal ultrasounds to determine pregnancies too..because its so effeicent. please hav ethem check, you could also have a tubal pregnancy.....so please go to both of them asap! best of luck!
Reply:I suffered pretty much the same thing and to my total disbelief I was told that the nerves that run through the oaies are the same ones that connect down to your thigh.

I recently had a very painful 'internal' and the majority of the pain was in my back and thighs.

If you are still worried though go back and have a chat to your GP or family planning nurse.

Good luck.
Reply:appendicitis is caused by bacteria i think. no, i dont think there's any direct connection between your ovary and appendix.

probably you have a low pain tolerance. i suggest you ask your doctor about "Dicycloverine". its a drug suitable for your menstrual pain
