Can you diagnose Polycystic Ovary Syndrome after having had a complete hysterectomy?

My sister, who is 9 years younger than me, has just been diagnosed with PCOS. When I look at some of the symptoms and health problems that are linked with PCOS, I can't help but wonder if both my Mother and myself are at risk.

I have had and still have health problems that may or may not be a direct result of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and I can say the same about my Mother's health (except my Mother has had no fertility problems that we know of).

PCOS can be diagnosed from blood tests. There are various hormones such as testosterone that are much higher with PCOS.

I have PCOS and it is a pain in the rear, but you do get used to managing it.
