Is this true? does a hetrogenious lesion in your ovary mean you have a higher chance of having ovarian?

cancer? I heard this of a few doctors, and just wanted to know if it is true. This was revield in an internal ultrasound on the 2nd of May this year. It is a hetrogenious lession on the right ovary with fluid around it. I was getting abnormal bleeding in 2006 and end of last year. I am booked in for a hystocomy (D and C) and a biopsy. Please let me know your opinions.

You are doing the right thing, going for a D and C and biopsy.

It is not 100% that heterogenous ovarian lesions are cancers.

Good luck.
