I found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant. 2 days ago I had cramping and I got scared, so I went to the emergency room. They did an ultra sound on me and said that everything looks normal, and there is a cyst on my ovary. They say this feeds the baby until the cord forms, but my sister who is a nurse says it's not called a cyst it's something else. SOMEONE help me!! :)
Can you have a health baby even if you have a cyst on your ovary?
Don't worry! Yes you can have a healthy baby-I did.
Reply:1) Go by what the doctor says. I know your sister is a nurse, but your sister was not there for the ultrasound. Plus your sister depsite her medical knowledge, does not know everything a doctor does.
2) You should be fine, as the baby, if under close supervision of your physician.
Reply:I had one on my left side and know im 35 weeks pregnant....
Reply:Cysts on your ovaries during pregnancy is completely 100% normal. Do not stress over it. It is absolutely normal!
Reply:i had one on my right side and im 22 wks now every thing in going perfect so far
Reply:Thanks for asking this question, I was wondering the same thing. I am 7 weeks right now and I have a cyst on my right ovary. The doctor told me it's called a corpus luteum cyst and that they normally resolve themselves. I checked out some info on it at webmd as well.
Reply:You have nothing to worry about regarding the "cyst", hypochondria is a common side effect of pregnancy. Best of luck.
Reply:yes i had a cyst on my ovary since i was a teen and i still had 4 healthy children
Reply:My daughter delivered healthy full term twins with a cyst. The cyst grew as the babies did and was dangerous because the female hormones fed it. As soon as she gave birth it shrunk back down to the size of a walnut. She didn't have any other children and 14 years after giving birth she had a hysterectomy. She is just fine.
