it happend 2 days ago and i still have a lot of pain. i can barely walk. will the pain subside soon?
After you have a cyst that bursts on your ovary how many days does it take for the pain to go away?
Go to the E.R. A cyst is a fluid filled sac. Unfortunately the cyst can honeycomb (mine did before) . Or it can also be filled with toxins. Call your doctor and ask for advice. I wager a bet that if it is afterhours he /she will tell you to head to the E.R. . before they do the "exam" ask for some good pain medication. If you are in pain now you will need it Just FYI.

Reply:it will go away in a week or so, try to rest and have plenty water, ibuprofen 400mg is a good pain killer, but you must have somthink to eat before you take one, and only 1 tablet 3 times aday. but you must eat as it can cause a sickly feeling. good luck hope your pains goes soon :)

I have been told i have a large cyst on my ovary i am 4months pregnant and worried. Can anyone help?
I have a cyst on my left ovary and had pain a week ago i was told if this happens again i should go to the hospital this has worried me. has anyone information on this problem?

You need to keep up with that cyst to make sure it doesn't become cancerous. Since you're pregnant monitor yourself carefully and keep every doc appointment, PERIOD. You should be ok. Women can still have healthy babies even with a cyst on the ovary. You need to keep yourself in the best health possible so you can be a proud mom to a healthy baby. Be careful of the pain meds you use (if any) get clearance from the doc first. If the pain gets so bad, see the doc ASAP. Keep your baby safe. After the birth of your child, keep that cyst in check by visiting the doc regularly.
Quickie: Women have a certain number of cysts on their ovaries as those are where the eggs are made. When women have too many or at least one becomes to large, it becomes a problem and the risk of cancer goes up. Go to someone who specializes in this problem for the best possible care. If you live in the north Dallas or Plano/Richardson area of Texas, I can refer you to my specialist. You can e-mail me if you need to. I really do feel for your situation.

They basically form when the sac that releases the egg doesn't breakdown but fills with fluid instead. I have multiple cysts, fibroids, %26amp; scar tissue in my uterus. Early in the preg. i thought went to the ER for the pain, but it turned out my body was adjusting to being pregnant and the cyst just causes a little more discomfort than usual. Relax, worring can only stress you out.
Reply:I do think worry will not help you in any way. Sometimes with pregnancy, cysts will disappear, so the news can be good, as well as bad. For some women the hormones of pregnancy can also make the cyst(s) grow and worsen, but this is more unusual. How much dairy and eggs and meat are you eating. All these foods are hormonally produced, and have a HUGE effect on size and formation of cysts. I am willing to bet if you lay off the dairy, meat and eggs, you will see a huge difference in the size of your cyst(s), and whether or not they grow or recur after you give birth. Have you been diagnosed w/ PCOS or endometriosis as well?
I do think going to the hospital or doctor is an excellent idea, especially if you are experiencing sharp pains. I would also ask my OB/Gyn exactly what they can or will do for you if the cyst ruptures, as knowing in advance what their chosen treatment would be will help to allay some of your fears. I'm not sure what the choices would or will be, as you are pregnant. That's pretty much all I know at the moment, b/c as you've and I've said, being pregnant complicates everything. My sister had a cyst the size of a small grapefruit rupture, but I don't believe they did anything for it, or could.

There is no risk to the pregnancy, so you can relax on that issue. However, if the cyst continues to grow it can become rather painful. Your doctor can treat it, but you need to discuss all the ramifications of treatment with him before you proceed.

The doctor says it's not very big. It is being monitored every 3 mos.

They can brust which will be painful. You can take drug store pain med or ask your doc if you need stronger, and a warm pack to the area helps.

What treatment method are you using for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)?
Today I found out I have PCOS. My doctor has prescribed a birth control pill (Loestrin 24 fe). Did your doctor do the same or use another method. I plan on googling the info just wanted to hear personal experiences thanks.

My GYN told me that I have a cyst on my right ovary. What is this and shouldl I be worried about cancer?
I am 25, and just had a baby 7 months ago. I have a cyst. I don't know anything about it but I have one. My mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and ended up having chemo and a historectomy. Should I be worried? My MD perscribed some hormones and hopes it will shrink it!

Such cysts may require surgical biopsy. Additionally, a blood test may be taken before surgery to check for elevated CA-125, a tumor marker, which is often found in increased levels in ovarian cancer, although it can also be elevated by other conditions resulting in a large number of false positives.
Reply:Not to worry. I had one when I was your age and it was very painful, every other period or so. One gynecologist told me it was the size of a golf ball.
No surgery, just modified my diet. No salt, no junk food, at all! I also followed an exercise routine. The problem went away. That was a long time ago. Keep up good health and don't slack off. Especially if your mother had the disease, doesn't mean you are going to get it, it means you should take better care of yourself.

symtoms:
pain in lower right pelvis .
pulling sensations on back of the eye.
a tighnig sensation where the cervix was.
still finds intercourse painfull at times.
is prone to bladder inffections.
she gets pain in the right legd foot and is very sensative to noise and skin on that side

It is possible that it could be adheision pain.
